The Story of the Napalm Nightmare
Around 2009, I was sick of getting beaten by Andrew Durniat at every grip contest we squared off at.
I sat and I thought to myself, “How can this guy be so much stronger than me?”
Once I thought about our strength training and competition careers, a light bulb went off in my head.
After college, I had my spurts of bodybuilding, powerlifting and Strongman, while Durniat became world renowned for his performance in Kettlebell Sport Competitions.
If you’re not familiar with Kettlebell Sport, think about being stuck in hell and performing Kettlebell Cleans and Presses for the rest of eternity. That’s basically what Kettlebell Sport is all about, except the trials last only 10 minutes.
My takeaway from this thought experiment was that for years, Andrew Durniat subjected his hands to an incredible amount of training and competition volume consisting of dynamic eccentric workload in his Kettlebell Sport competitions. The kettlebell starts on the floor and then is brought to the shoulder and then overhead, then returned back down for another clean, and this takes place over and over and over.
Imagine what your hands would feel like if you had to constantly deal with lowering the kettlebell dynamically and then bringing it right back up for the next rep, without touching the floor or resting, until the time limit expired.
This dynamic eccentric loading was what I felt I was missing, and pondered on how I could somehow come close to replicating these forces, because there was no chance in hell I would ever do Kettlebell Sport training.
Eventually, grip enthusiasts began testing their hand strength by loading the NN up with as much weight as they could pull.
It was only a matter of time until the need was there to start mass producing the handles, and my lifting partner, Luke Raymond, began pumping them out on demand through Arm Assassin Strength Shop.
These days, there are a multitude of different sized grips that can be used on the Napalm Nightmare frame, allowing you to test your grip at many thicknesses of thick bar, pinch grip, and even globe options. The Napalm Nightmare system can even allow you to effectively train for other Grip Sport pinching events, such as the Euro, Flask, and Saxon Bar. This assortment of different handles on just one frame truly makes the Napalm Nightmare the best modular system that is on the market for complete grip strength development.
Now, with hundreds, if not thousands, of Napalm Nightmare set-ups all over the world, I figured it was time to take the next step in helping lifters develop world class grip strength. You see, one thing has been abundantly clear: many owners of the Napalm Nightmare system are unfamiliar with grip programming and how to bring about continuous progress with the implement.
This program solves all that.
What You Can Expect in the Napalm Nightmare Program
The Napalm Nightmare Workout is an 8 Week Specialization Program, designed to bring up performance on the NN Handle size you need to improve on the most.
Each week, I’ve slated 2 workouts for you to focus on Napalm Nightmare. This can be done first in the workout, or later on, depending upon how you set up your Grip Training program.
Each workout consists of 2 drills, and the objective is to always be breaking your PR on the given drill. Constant improvement in this way is ABSOLUTELY possible, the way I’ve designed this program.
Since Grip Strength is mostly neural-based, the emphasis is put on high weight and low reps, the best way to train grip to make sure you’re always building strength.
While the videos for this program were shot using rolling handles on the Napalm Nightmare, I’ve included other drills you can do if you plan on using the program for pinch grip training.
To summarize, the Napalm Nightmare is the best thick bar rolling handle on the market, but it’s also the most versatile tool, as well.
You can train thick bar with the Napalm Nightmare that will carryover to Axle, Inch Dumbbell, and other rolling handles, but you can also use it to replicate the Euro, Flask, and various Saxon Bars, as well as other pinching feats.
And at the same time, you get to train both hands at the same time, cutting down on the amount of reps you need to do, and pack more effective work in a shorter amount of time.
And now, the program you need to take advantage of the Napalm Nightmare to the highest degree is here, ready for you to implement it.
Get this program today, and start seeing improvements, right away.
All the best in your training.
